Iron Maiden: A Concert To Remember On The Kalemegdan Fortress

After sold-out and spectacular concerts on this year’s final part of the “Maiden England” tour, the popular Iron Maiden are getting very close to their Belgrade concert on June 17th on Kalemegdan.

The production that is getting ready beneath the ramparts of the Belgrade Fortress will be the most spectacular in the history of the famous band from England.

Pyrotechnics will be brought by the band itself and organized by a particular group of people in the production of the concert. Up to 30 different devices control this aspect of the production so that nothing is left to chance.

It’s interesting that this year’s complete set up and lighting are vital in creating the so-called “Arctic stage,” which is a remake of the stage from the 1988 “Seventh Son of a Seventh Son” tour, but with new, modern technology.

– We worked a long time in the production of this concert and have included designers we worked with back in the eighties, but now we have provided them with modern technical equipment needed for a 21st century concert – said band leader Steve Harris.

The stage that is going to be set up for this concert is 44 meters wide and 17 meters tall, and will contain a few giant curtains with images that represent different segments of the concert. The popular mascot Eddie will appear on stage in several editions, one of them being as tall as six meters!

A team of nearly 90 people accompanies the Maidens on tour, along with several trucks of production elements including sound systems, lighting and spectacular pyrotechnics, while the band is coming to Belgrade with its own Boeing 757 aircraft, flown by the singer Bruce Dickinson himself!

The concert in Serbia aroused great interest in the country and the region, and the Fan Pit tickets were thus sold out more than three months before the concert! In the ticket sales network Eventim, there are still tickets for Parter 1 and 2, priced at 3,500 and 2,990 dinars, which happen to be the cheapest tickets of the entire tour.

Maiden fans also get discounts for the Calling 2014!

All Maiden fans are provided with 500 dinar discount for ticket purchases for Billy Idol on June 25th at Kalemegdan. Fans can show their Iron Maiden tickets from any category at any Eventim retail location in Belgrade (Usce, Arena, Youth Center, and Ticket Center) and get an equal number of discounted tickets for the Billy Idol concert.
